Rose Bobby Pins

Bobby pins are super handy when styling hair. I know I love them. Sometimes you want something cute to go along with a nice hair style. These bobby pins will add just that!

Inspiration
No blog or tutorial...just a photo pinned on Pinterest.

Supplies
  • Bakeable Clay
  • Bobby Pins
  • Hot Glue
  • Thread
  • Toothpicks

First, take your clay and break off a small piece. Roll it into a ball.

Then, flatten it out by squishing it between your thumb and index finger.

Gently fold it into a cone shape to create the center of the rose.  Continue making balls of clay and flattening them out.

Add them around the center of the rose for petals until you are happy with the volume of your flower.

Flatten the bottom. If there is extra clay at the bottom cut it off with an Xacto knife. Take a toothpick and poke a hole all the way through the bottom from one side to the other.

Bake the clay as directed by your package.

After your clay rose(s) have cooled. Take your bobby pins and hot glue them to your rose(s).  Let the glue dry and then run some thread through the holes and between the bobby pin a couple of times for extra hold.

Now you have some really cute bobby pins to add a little something to your hair!
